Is this online signature maker really free?

Yes. Drawing, typing, downloading and copying your signature are completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many signatures you create.

Do you store or see my signature?

No. Your signature is created and exported entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to our servers, and closing the page erases it.

Can I use the signature fonts commercially?

Yes. Every style uses a font released under the SIL Open Font License or Apache License, which allow personal and commercial use.

Is a typed signature legally valid?

In many countries a typed name can count as an electronic signature for everyday agreements, as long as it shows your intent to sign. Some documents require a handwritten or certified signature, so check with the other party if you're unsure. This is general information, not legal advice.

Is an online signature the same as a digital signature?

Not quite. An image of your handwritten signature is a simple electronic signature. A digital signature is a cryptographic, certificate-based signature created by signing software. For everyday documents, a signature image is usually all you need; for regulated documents, the other party may require a certified digital signature.
